International School of Economics (ISET), Tbilisi/Georgia

The International School of Economics (ISET) at Tbilisi State University was established in 2006 to provide economic education and research to benefit the public and private sectors in the South Caucasus countries. ISET offers a two year English-language master's program in Economics that prepares participants to enter PhD programs at first class universities across the globe.


Cooperation and Exchange: A cooperation agreement was signed between our two universities in 2010. Due to the recency of the contract, we are not yet able to provide experience with student exchange.

на восток. Only for master students. Courses are taught in a "mini-semester" time frame. Five such mini-semesters are offered throughout the year, September until the end of June. All five mini-semesters span 8 weeks, including 7 weeks of class + one week for exams. An exchange student can come for a single mini-semester or two mini-semesters starting in January 9, March 7 or May 9.

Each mini-term course is worth 3 ECTS (21 hours of instruction). About 7-9 elective courses in different fields of economics are offered in each mini-semester.

Miniterm I: August 30 - October 24, 2010
Miniterm II: October 25 - December 19, 2010
Winter Break: December 20 - January 9, 2011
Miniterm III: January 10 - March 6, 2011
Miniterm IV: March 7 - May 1, 2011
Miniterm V: May 9 - July 3, 2011
